Leesa Streifler Self-Acceptance Art Workshop
Leesa Streifler Self-Acceptance Art Workshop
November 9 with Artist Leesa Streifler
12:30- 4:30pm – South Meeting Room (5th Floor) Moose Jaw Public Library
Leesa Streifler is currently featured in the art gallery and her drawings and paintings often explore body image and the effect of difficult experiences, memories, emotions and physical pain on our bodies. She believes that expressing these feelings helps in understanding them and promotes self-awareness and reduced stress.
This workshop will guide participants through art exercises intended to reduce stress and promote self-understanding and self-acceptance. In a relaxed, non-judgemental atmosphere, this workshop is for all genders and gender expressions, able-bodied or disabled, healthy or health-challenged, who want to explore their identity in relation to body expression. It is also for anyone who has experienced low self-esteem due to negative self-image.
Through a series of guided art exercises, in a relaxed atmosphere, and with a variety of painting and drawing media, participants will embark on a personal journey of self-discovery and body positivity through art.
No art experience required.
