In order to make a large event like ParkArt a success, we rely on the support of volunteers to operate the various parts of the event. When signing up to volunteer, you can list which time slots you are available for, and any preferences for duties.

Volunteering at ParkArt entitles you to:

• Free Admission
• Snacks and beverages
• Lunch

Volunteer shifts are between 2 and 4 hours in length, and are defined by the task.

We are currently seeking volunteers for the following roles. Click each title for time slots and a brief description of the duties:

Admissions

Duties: Collect admission and discount flyers, stamp hands, count entrance.
Shifts: 9:45 - 12:00, 12:00 - 2:00, 2:00 - 4:00

Registration

Duties: Meet the vendors to sign them in, give them their packages and assigned booth, provide directions, handle questions and concerns during setup.
Shifts: 6:00 - 10:00

Host

Duties: Answer questions and help vendors and the general public, cover for vendors if they need to take a break, collect evaluation forms.
Shifts: 10:00 - 12:30, 12:30 - 3:00

Set Up/Take Down

Duties: Morning - Set up residual tables, food, signage, assist vendors, staff, registration table as necessary.
Afternoon - Take down tables, signs, and equipment as directed, pick up garbage, empty garbage and recycling cans.
Shifts: 6:00 - 9:00, 4:00 - Finish

Penny Parade

Duties: First Shift - Collect prizes from vendors, create prize packages, assign them draw containers.
Subsequent Shifts - Sell tickets for draws, answer questions, monitor prize table.
Shifts: 7:30 - 9:30, 9:45 - 12:00, 12:00 - 2:00, 2:00-4:00

Gift Shop

Duties: Assist Gift Shop staff with sales and other tasks - Note: This task takes place indoors and is a good option for those sensitive to heat.
Shifts: 10:00 - 12:00, 12:00 - 2:00, 2:00 - 4:00

Facilities

Duties: Check washrooms for cleanliness/supply, (Someone else will handle any issues, we only need you to check.) check on garbage and recycling and empty if necessary, monitor food table, keep an eye on general cleanliness.
Shifts: 10:00 - 12:00, 12:00 - 2:00, 2:00 - 4:00

Volunteer Support

Duties: Extra hands to support the other volunteers. Fill in for missing volunteers, provide assistance in busy periods, cover if another volunteer needs a break.
Shifts: 10:00 - 12:00, 12:00 - 2:00, 2:00 - 4:00
